André Ventura is increasingly working on the extremist fringes of society, Miguel Sousa Tavares

“I am not convinced that André Ventura does not want elections and I am also not convinced that Chega would be defeated in elections”, he says, before pointing out another reflection: “André Ventura is increasingly working on the extremist fringes of society. This demonstration was from Chega, but it had 1143, Mário Machado's neo-Nazi organization, walking side by side”.

"I've never seen André Ventura so hysterical". Miguel Sousa Tavares sees Chega using Goebbels' tactics.

Regarding the demonstration against immigration, Miguel Sousa Tavares criticizes the stance of the president of Chega

Miguel Sousa TavaresImmigration is not a problem in Portugal and “all the data says it is not”. For Miguel Sousa Tavares, “you just have to think about how the economy of this country works” to understand the importance of these people.

After Chega called for a demonstration against immigration, the TVI commentator (from the same group as CNN Portugal) pointed out, in his 5th Column of Jornal Nacional, that it is “normal” for people to be “nervous”, especially when “there is a leader who appeals to mass hysteria”.

“I had never seen André Ventura so hysterical”, confesses Miguel Sousa Tavares, speaking of “total hysteria” with the flag around his waist and the repeated “screams” of “constant lies”.

The commentator understands that the president of Chega is doing nothing more than using a tactic introduced by the head of Nazi propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, that “a lie repeated so many times becomes the truth”.

“There are no such thing as too many immigrants”, continues Miguel Sousa Tavares, citing a study by the University of Porto which even points out that more need to arrive, especially because they are the ones who “restore demographic health”, namely through birth rates.

Regarding the theory that the State has to spend too much on these people, Miguel Sousa Tavares once again presents a well-known fact: the balance is positive for Social Security by more than 1.6 billion euros.

Miguel Sousa Tavares also presented a series of data that support these statements, which can be seen in the video associated with the article.
