Lisbon, Jan 18, 2026 — A poll conducted by the Catholic University for RTP indicates that António José Seguro and André Ventura will go to the second round of the presidential elections. According to the projection, the candidate supported by the Socialist Party will come in first place, with between 30 and 35 percent of the vote, and the leader of Chega will garner between 20 and 24 percent.
In third place is João Cotrim de Figueiredo, with between 17 and 21 percent of the votes, followed by Henrique Gouveia e Melo (between 11 and 14 percent).
Luís Marques Mendes appears in fifth place in this projection (gathering between eight and 11 percent of the votes).
Next are António Filipe and Catarina Martins (both with one to three percent), Manuel João Vieira (one to two percent), Jorge Pinto, André Pestana and Humberto Correia (all with between zero and one percent).
