Government to Train 1,000 Immigrants for the Tourism Sector

The Portuguese government has announced a programme to train 1,000 immigrants in the tourism sector, in response to the great need for labour in this area. The trainees will receive a monthly grant of 522 euros and 50 cents, equivalent to the Social Support Index, and will participate in training in the Portuguese language and socio-cultural components for full integration.
